“Hedge fund database” and “hedge fund list” get used as if they were the same thing. They are not.
A list is a file you download. You sort it. You import it. You already know how Excel works.
A database, in this industry, usually means a licensed terminal: performance, peer groups, investor names, and a login that expires when the contract does.
Hedge Fund Contacts is a list. The site title has said “database” for years because buyers search that word. The product is still a file.
