How to use a hedge fund sample

The Hedge Fund Contacts sample is a short set of rows in the same shape as the $497 file. How to read it before you buy.

The sample is a short set of rows in the same shape as the paid file. It is there so you can see the columns before you spend $497.

It is not a free complete list. It is not a second product.

What the sample is for

Open it if you need to know whether the file will import, whether the firm row and the People sheet make sense for your CRM, or whether the columns match the job (sales, recruiting, or research).

The paid file, as of 15 August 2026, includes 5,110 hedge fund managers. The sample is a slice of that shape, not 5,110 rows.

How to read it

  1. Open the sample from hedgefundcontacts.com/sample/.
  2. Look at the firm sheet first: one row per manager, website, phone, Main email and Careers Email when they are present.
  3. Look at the People sheet: Name, Position, Company, Email.
  4. If you will import, read the Excel / CRM notes before you map columns.

Named columns are defined on the field glossary. This page does not reprint a field count.

What the sample will not do

  • It will not give you the complete 5,110
  • It is not a place to scrape emails for a blast list
  • Public fund profiles do not include the emails that sit in the file

One complete list after you buy: Excel and CSV, $497 one time, twelve months of updates, no autorenew.
